A Cosmic July with Noosphere: Sparking New Dreams and Meanings

Hot summer days, books, and fresh ideas. The last week of July turned into something truly special for everyone passionate about science, creativity, and the future. In Kyiv, a series of bright events took place, including the “Poverhy” festival at Respublika Park Mall.

This vibrant festival blended literature and contemporary art, fashion and technology, food culture and family entertainment. At its heart was a charitable mission: raising funds for implants for veterans undergoing rehabilitation at the TYTANOVI center.

Among the participants were NGO Association Noosphere and the Universe Space Tech Magazine. At our booth, visitors could grab the latest issues of the Universe Space Tech magazine, exclusive merch, and plenty of other space-themed goodies. Plus, Ivan Hlaz, Head of Digital at Universe Space Tech, hosted an interactive magazine presentation where guests could even win a copy.

One of the main highlights was the rocket modeling workshops, organized by Association  Noosphere together with the Ukraine Spacemodelling Sport Federation. As always, these sessions turned into a true space adventure.

Young participants built paper rocket models, explored the basics of aerodynamics, thought like engineers, and created with passion. Helping them were real pros and champions of rocket modeling — Oleksandr Radchenko and Mykhailo Dubrovnyi.

And the space fun didn’t stop there! The same workshops were also held at another event — the CosmoMeetup “Sun” by Universe Space Tech on July 27. At every location, kids walked away not just with big smiles, but also with valuable skills: rocket modeling helps develop technical thinking, precision, consistency, and attention to detail.

Some of the kids were already familiar with our activities — they first tried rocket modeling at the Book Country festival this spring and came back to experience the thrill again. One of the youngest participants, proudly holding his brand-new rocket, even asked:
“Will this rocket fly into space? I want mine to stay there!”

Parents were just as engaged, asking how their children could continue rocket modeling on a regular basis and join future Noosphere events. Workshop leaders shared info about local clubs and centers for scientific and technical creativity, where kids can grow their knowledge and engineering skills.

Everyone went home with their very own handmade rockets — unique creations that may one day mark the start of a child’s personal space journey.

A big thank you to everyone who joined our cosmic days — and get ready, because more launches are coming soon!
