Space Week 2025: Noosphere Events You Don’t Want to Miss

From October 4 to 10, the world celebrates Space Week — a time to honor the discoveries, technologies, and innovations made possible by space exploration. As always, Association Noosphere has prepared a lineup of exciting events for everyone who’s passionate about the Universe.

October 4–5: NASA Space Apps Challenge
The world’s largest space hackathon, NASA Space Apps Challenge, will once again take place in Dnipro — organized locally by Association Noosphere for the ninth year in a row. For 48 hours, participants will work in teams with experienced mentors to solve real NASA challenges, then present their projects to the jury on October 6. The best local projects will move on to global judging, where NASA experts will select the top entries worldwide. This year’s theme: Learn, Launch, Lead.

October 4: Registration Opens for VEX RoboWeek STEM Course
Also on October 4, registration opens for the VEX RoboWeek: Mission Starship STEM course, which will take place in Dnipro on October 17. The program invites teenagers aged 10–14 who want to dive into the world of robotics. Participants will learn to build and program robots using VEX GO kits and take on a rescue mission — to evacuate a stranded starship in open space.

October 7: Launch of Noosphere Space Games Registration
On October 7, registration opens for the long-awaited Noosphere Space Games — a competition in virtual rocket modeling. Participants will work in Kerbal Space Program, a realistic spaceflight simulator, where they’ll complete a space mission. The most successful teams will win cash prizes.
The competition is open to students, young professionals, and space enthusiasts up to 24 years old.

October 9, 17:00 — “Cosmic Express: Journey Through the Solar System”
Adventure seekers are invited to join an interactive online event hosted by Universe Space Tech magazine and Association Noosphere. This is no ordinary lecture — it’s a real adventure where the audience shapes the story. Together with Universe Space Tech authors and experts, participants will choose their destination, design a spaceship, form a crew, and navigate unexpected twists and crises.

No one knows how the mission will end — it all depends on the audience’s choices.

The event will take place online via Zoom.

October 10, 17:00 — “Space Shots: Clash of Worlds” at Planetarium Noosphere
The week will wrap up with a spectacular science-meets-cinema event — Space Shots: Clash of Worlds. Guests will watch movie scenes about interplanetary wars, alien invasions, and galactic conflicts, and then discuss how realistic they are with experts in astronomy, physics, and aerodynamics. Together, they’ll separate cinematic fiction from scientific fact.
You can join in person at Planetarium Noosphere or online via Zoom from anywhere in the world.
